Tips to make your battery long lasting
Turn the phone off: turning a phone on/off definitely consume a massive amount of power itself. If you don't plan to answer the phone when your bed time or after business hours, just switch it off. Some phones have an automatic power save feature, but it takes about 30 minutes to kick in. disable the phone functionality (flight mode).If you don't need to receive or make calls but are using a smartphone as a PDA.
Stop searching for signals. When you are in an area with poor signal, your phone will constantly look for a better connection, and will use up all your power doing so. If you don't have a perfect signal, find a cell phone repeater which will amplify the signal to provide near perfect reception.
